    Ek1 ww1 opinions

Hello, I bought this iron cross 1st class 1914 a couple of weeks ago and sadly enough I am getting more and more skeptical about if it is original or not...

I would be more than grateful for opinions about it!

    Regards Ed

I could not post pictures on it :/ but here is a link to a swedish forum were I posted the same question, with pictures.

Pictures could be better but to me it appears to be a good KO. I'm new to Imperial EK with much to learn though so let those with more experience comment.

    Regards,
    Stu

Pics are too small and unclear to say anything certain ...

What I am especially concerned about is the crown, it looks very "easy-made"

I think it's probably OK but it's hard to be sure from those crappy pictures.
Please post better pictures to this thread to get more opinions.

I would agree that it's a good KO. Seems someone cleaned the back

And definitely post pics here instead of the link. I know of some pretty knowledgeable collectors on this forum who stay away from requests where the pics aren't presented here.

Sure looks like a KO, take better images- straight back and front, natural light, maybe outside.

It´s a good KO with cleaned back, as other said. Type with the core that was unique to KO maker. Crown is quite flat on this type, but I wouldn´t call it "easily made".
