    Fliegererinnerungszeichen original?

    Hello ,

I would like to know if this flyer memo from 1914 is original?
It has a Meybauer mark as well as a silver content temple 925 and is from silver. I know only 800ér or 900ér stamps?
    Best regards
    Marco

Looks right to me to . The 925 mark on Meybauer is said to indicate probable post war production, whether this is certain or not is proven but seems reasonable. Nice badge.Ferg

I check again , its not a problem in 925 silver but in 925 mark on this model !
Till now I saw such Meybauer badges only in silvered tombac. Back side of this badges re simmilar to Juncker pieces.

Early silver 925 Commemorative Meybauer badges so called type 1 re total flat on back side.

These days, imperial flight badges are copied frequently and in high quality so to feel safe it would be good if you ask some hq pictures. Quality is to poor to give a final judgement. It might have a good chance.
I'm wondering what caused the contrast between a brand new looking crown and the patina on the other parts of the badge.

I think the bling-bling crown is a result of the owners attempt to clean the badge or to find out whether it's really silver. After shining the crown he lost interest in the matter...too bad for a patina almost 100 years old.
The little mark is on the same spot where other Meybauers have a third wheephole...maybe an undecicive punching?
And I do not find any resemblance with a Juncker backside on this piece (hinge well, the outline of the indented part, position of the wheepholes etc.).
                  Regards
                  Hagrid

                      Hello,
I thank you once for the numerous help to the play. I also think that it was a good piece.
Unfortunately, it has been sold to a large well-known dealer from the north of Germany.
I am curious about whether it is and where it may reappear in the sale.
The purchase price was thereby pushed up.

                      Best regards
                      Marco
