    Godet EKII core(s)

    Hi Guys,

I'm trying to fill in some of the gaps in my knowledge of Imperial EK and would appreciate knowing if Godet used more than one core in their 1914 EKII.

    Thanks for your assistance,
    Stu

They used mainly a steel sheet stamped core, more rarely early in the war; a cast core (of the same core).

Those are the two I am aware of that Godet used on EK2.

I agree with Dansson and EK Hunter

Here are two examples of the cast and stamped cores used by Godet:

EK II WWII Einzelspange Cast core Godet early (5).jpg
A early Godet cast core, less detailed crown and rough surface.

EK II WWI Gebrüder Godet & Co. in Berlin Obverse (2).jpg
Godet stamped core, very detailed crown and smooth surface.
