    Am I correct to say that the pin of this Godet has been changed?

    I think you might be right. The pin reminds me very much of those
    found on 1914 "WS" marked crosses.

      There is also some space on the shaft that indicates that the pin at least it is not original to the hing. I thinK.

        I share the view expressed by Greg and Alf. In my opinion the pin of the EK I 1870 was definitely replaced and very likely with a pin of an EK I 1914.

          Would like to see a close up of the Godet mark.

            The pin has been changed, the mark is original, the hook is broken, but the price is fair.

            With original pin and intact hooks you would pay about $2000 more.
