    EK I for Review

    Hello Gents,

I am considering purchasing this EK I. The seller states that it is a Deumer, but I wanted to run it by the experts here on the forum before I pull the trigger on buying it. Also, is this a real Imperial made cross, or was it produced later such as post WWI.

Thanks for any and all help in advance !!!

    Best regards,

    Sean

A beautiful vaulted Deumer (second piece) IMO made between the wars.

Hi Green, and thanks for the reply. I have been looking for a nice WWI EK I to add to the collection, but I am far from an expert on these. If it was made between the wars, does that lower the value/price compared to a piece actually made during the war?

          Best regards,

          Sean

I donĀ“t think that fact lower the value much. Rarity and maker (mark) influence the value more. If you wanted to have more security about buying a period one, look for a flat cross with a cast iron core (bit coarse structure).

I agree nice original EK from Duemer probably 30's produced and you will also see early WW2 using this same hardware. Usually issue are flat and private purchase can be vaulted. TPK
