    Kapitän zur See 1908..Signature help needed

    Hello

    i have a book here with a Dedication to a Schiffsjunge.
    Its signed by a Kapitän zur See from SMS König Wilhelm in 1908/09
    wiki shows some Kapitäne pre 1908 but then the info is very limited.
    I just cannot relly make out the sig..looks to me like Renaun or something?
    anyone able to read it correctly please?

    Even though the signature does not look like "Recke", Johannes Recke was commander of the "Schiffsjungendivision" from 01.10.1907-07.08.09. as well as commandant of SMS König Wilhelm (as noted in the dedication).

    Sometimes it is much easier to look up who held a certain position rather than try to decipher a signature.

    And how many of our signatures really look our names??????
