    Wacht Am Rhein Medal with XXX content! Parental Advisory!!!

    Hi Everyone,

    Here's a rather unusual medal / medallion I picked up this weekend. As you'll see it is quite shocking in its content which is certainly nationalistic.

    As far as I can work out, it concerns the problems with the Rheinland and French control in the post-war years, specifically the use of soldiers drawn from the French African colonies and the consequent threat to the women of Germany. At least, I think that's what the message is.

    Can anyone tell me anything else about it please?

    I'm also curious why, what looks to be the masonic 'eye' has been incorporated in the design.
