              Off to the ranklists!!
Are the Finnish medals hallmarked? If so, can you tell the year of manufacture/award?

@ Christian: Yes, it's Jantzen's medal bar... accordingly to the vendor description: Ordensspange des Korvettenkapitäns der kaiserlichen Marine und späterem Konteradmiral Johannes Jantzen.

@ Jeff: Yes, the Finnish War of Liberation medal is hallmarked Sporrong & Co, Stockholm, Sweden.

Maybe somebody who has the Kriegsmarine Ranglisten could give me a bit more information on this high ranking officer... any help would be highly appreciated!

                Ciao,

                Claudio

                    Thank you Diesel!

Do you know how did he die? During a mission with the Kriegsmarine, maybe during the evacuation of the German population by sea from the sieged pockets on the Baltic sea (Königsberg)?

Here another detailed pic of the China and Kolonialdenkmünzen.

                    Ciao,

                        claudio,
Very nice bar. Can you tell me what type of camera you are using that takes the detail photos? It does an excellent job.

It's an "old" (about 5 years old) Olympus Camedia Digital Camera C-3000 Zoom (3.3 Megapixel).

                            2. WW. is not my main interest, but I have found some info. It looks like he had left the navy before he died.
