Austrian ribbon bar with a RAO & KO

    My latest find...

Unfortunately, we'll never know what the first decoration this bar was:

But I am left wondering how many Austrians were awarded both the peacetime Red Eagle Order and the Crown Order...

Well, the burnt offerings finally paid off, and I heard back from "He Who Shall Not Be Named" about this ribbon bar. What we've got here isn't Austrian at all, but rather an example of a ribbon bar paired down to the "most important" decorations. An 1897 and a long service should have been in there. Also, he chose to wear all wartime decorations (German or not), in front of his peacetime decorations.

...and I had this one staring me in face (literally, in a ryker case right above the monior):

The owner chose to wear all of his "war" decorations, including foreign and a vets decoration that wasn't supposed to be on there in the first place, in front of his Prussian Crown Order or Wuerttemburg Freidrichsorden.

    P.S.
I know this is off topic, but does anyone have any advice as to how to remove the smell of burnt goat flesh from draperies?
