    1870 EK2, when produced?

a friend got this cross with ww1 stuff.
Is one able to define its production date? Ww1! Between the wars? Or post ww2?

    Material is iron and nickel.

I do see that cross more in the direction of 1939 /1945 .
cutting of the inner beats are similar to the tool finger print of 1939 tools fore the swastikas crosses ..
very obvious ,,hard to overlook ,

bunt metal ,,,,,yea ,,,,,1939,,,for sure .

very nice pictures ,,,,,,making it easy dating the cross .

                    superb cross to

                    regards kay

AWS crosses are very often found with non-silver frames. I do not believe that automatically makes them TR era.

all I can say is, that there were plenty of items in this fresh from private group, not one was from after 1918...

                          well

I gave you a precise reason WY I placed this cross in to 1939 ..

you can researched those reasons yourself ,,,,,,you do not ...fine

have fun with your pile of 1914 stuff

                          regards kay

you're right ,,its not that easy ...I agree .

especially AWS ,,,,theres some question marked yet to be solved .

but I named other reasons to ( most important) ,,,the inner bead ,,how that is cut out .

its looking strong like 1930/1939 production to me ....

but hey ,,just an opinion,,based on observation and first hand handling such items ,,,,
and still ,,,,one can never be sure what comes up next ,,, to learn and start all over at the beginning

                            regards kay
