    POW's?

    Got a couple postcards today,Looks like POW's to me,what do you think?

      This one has nothing to do with the other postcard, just thought it was pretty cool, I think this guy is either a pilot or Cav.

        Erik,

        You are correct about the first photo, these soldiers are prisoners of the French. It's anybody's guess on the second. Not enough information in the picture to make a definative ID.

          Thanks,How do you know theyre French prisoners?Is it the numbers stenciled on the tunic?

            Nice pics. I think that PG stands for prisonnier de guerre, prisoner of war in English.

              Hey,Tony your probably right. Notice how all of them are smoking,I guess I would too if I was a prisoner, come to think of it I would even if I wasn't

                Eric, I have a photo of a group of prisoners (one of them is Anke's grandad) in France from 1920, 2 of them are wearing slippers.
