You are correct about the first photo, these soldiers are prisoners of the French. It's anybody's guess on the second. Not enough information in the picture to make a definative ID.Comment

Eric, I have a photo of a group of prisoners (one of them is Anke's grandad) in France from 1920, 2 of them are wearing slippers.
