Arron, I am sure I am not the only one who's eyes popped at seeing an officer's Haube from Hannoversches Pionier-Batl. Nr.10. Yoikes!

I've got an ersatz tin lid with a paper thin Prussian eagle plate in brass, the whole thing overpainted in grey-green - & minus the spike which was fitted with a flange rather than the brads
I just like to convince myself that the original owner knocked the spike off in order to comply with regulations to remove spikes, but does anybody know where I can get one?

Thanks Tony...condition-wise, its probably my best helmet- pretty much unworn. If you're interested, I'll trade it for a German-made Hawaiian Officer's Pickelhaube, should you happen to come across one!

        Cheers,

        Arran.
