Is someone knows what it deals with ?

It is from the student league/fraternity "Gothania" from University Jena.

However, it is still a rare and hard to find stein. The student associations had paramilitary links and were the basis of officer cadets plus one year volunteers.

Some Nazis (e.g. Ernst Kaltenbrunner) and Nazi opponents (Karl Sack, Hermann Kaiser) were members of Burschenschaften. Theodor Herzl, an Austrian Jewish journalist who founded modern political Zionism, was also a member of a Burschenschaft."

Since the mug is dated Christmas 1893 I don't imagine this fellow had any concerns about the Third Reich changing students' fraternities, though World War One may well have affected his life.
