    Heavy silver russian Award 1864 !

    Hi Guys.It is perhaps not the accurate place for this Thread on the Forum.... but I didn't find any better.... I saw this magnificent russian Insignia by a german Family I visited last Week.....         Hi Lionel. It's a commemoration of tsar Alexander 2 signing a decree establishing long awaited judicial reform in Russia. Among other things it introduced the jury trial dramatically improved the criminal justice system and established a bar association. It was a pretty major advancement for Russia and IMO this award could have belonged to a nobleman a judge or a lawyer. Pretty rare and pretty darn cool
