    Cased EK1

This is the last Imperial EK1 I've found in the recently deceased collector's estate. I would like to get your opinions on the case and cross. The heavily vaulted, unmarked cross doesn't quite fit snugly in the base. The base was already partially removed so I took a picture of the underside without removing it from the part still attached.
    Thank you,
    Dale

Both are original but not a match.

I think the case is early but I am not sure the inlet (with the blue velvet) is original to it. Never had one of these cases so I cant compare.

The Cross I believe to be from the 20s/30s and made by Deumer. Please correct me if wrong.

I agree with Rich. The EK1 is a Deumer. With this pin setup in my opinion it could be as early as wartime or as late as the 1920s. The case is a good private purchase and all the cases of this type I've had have had this blue insert.
              Best regards,

Thank you both for the help. Another one to go in the estate's original box.

Hi Trevor, I wasn't questioning the colour of the inlet, rather the construction. I take it the construction is fine?

                    Hi Trevor,
Just a question, I believed that type of case to a issue case, not private purchase, would be so kind to enlighten me on your thoughts please.
                    Cheers
                    Wayne
