    1870 Iron cross for review

“Prussian iron cross 1870 2nd class with oak leaves "25" a typical manufacturing the oak leaves on the tape to 1896 “
    -----------------------
This is the description of the this 1870 Cross from the dealer, for me it indicates that the oak leaves only are made in 1896, but I think even the cross is late manufactured. Your opinion is appreciated.
    Alf.

Looking for a good 1870 2nd class Cross to buy….
    Thanks.

The cross is a good "Jubilee era" cross. (produced after 1895) however the oak leaf
      spange is a modern fake.

Sorry I am a bit confused here, does it means that it is not a "Jubilee era" cross ?

1914 to 1940 you can place these crosses no where else .

if ,,they real at all .

just in case someone starts complaining

,,,the 1895 jubilee ek's 1870 are proven to be real

by period pictures of the veterans who have them on a uniform ...who are found by the hundred's

A and B type as well as AWS and the wide framed crosses ,,,

these 1914 type core's crosses have no such photographic support,,,, and have a good chance to be reproductions with 1914 iron crosses parts

until someone finds a datable picture,,

who should not be hard to find

as,, at 1895 everyone of the veterans wanted to go back on a picture as hero with his new jubilee cross ,,or wouldn't they ? not ?

                  regards kay

                  regards kay

Thank you Kay, but If this cross is a 1914 to 1940 made how come this cross I have posted can be a 1895 jubilee ek's 1870 I assume that if it is a 1895 jubilee ek's 1870 it must have been made in 1895
