Hi All,
This is my last addition, a nice 5 Medal Bar from 4 different German States. The combination is not common and not easy to find, especially with the Ehrenkreuz from Reuss.
The Bar contains the following Orden and Medals:
1) Bayern: Militär-Verdienstorden IV. Klasse mit Schwertern (Hemmerle), pre 1917.
2) Bayern: Militär-Verdienstkreuz III. Klasse mit Schwertern (Deschler)
3) Preußen: Eisernes Kreuz 1914 II. Klasse.
4) Reuss: Fürstliches Ehrenkreuz III. Klasse mit Schwertern.
5) Braunschweig: Kriegsverdienstkreuz II. Klasse.
The maker of this Medal bar was Max Weise from Gera. This was (in my opinion) a Medal Bar from a soldier (later Officer) from Fürstentum Reuß (jüngerer Linie), who, instead of joining the preußische Armee (7. Thüringisches Infanterie-Regiment Nr. 96), decided to join the Bavarian one.
Any opinions? (Bad or good)
Best Regards
Antonio
