    Interesting ek1 1870

This piece is featured on a today's update. It is a Godet marked 1870 ek1 with side hooks ("fangs") but with an AWS core...

    It is engraved "von Voigts-Rhetz"

Any ideas (got a few but do you got them too )?

That is an interesting piece. There are a few possibilities I could
    come up with myself.

The cross has a couple repairs and some bad soldering so before
I would spend a lot of money on it, I would really try to determine
if it actually started life a as a 1870 and not as a 1914.

I would hate to think someone cannibalized a Godet with fangs
to make a Frankenstein piece, but stranger things have happened.
    (just one of the possibilities)

There was a noble family named "von Voigts-Rhez"

and also an Inf. Rgt. named v. V-R.
