    Ribbon bar error?

    Hi guys,

I bought this combo online Saturday night after a big night of football--- The Tigers won

In the cold light of day I think I see a problem.

At the end of the ribbon bar is that a War merit Cross(ww2] ribbon instead of a Hindy? The item hasn't been mailed to me yet, is there a problem or am I mistaken?

    Cheers,

    Jamie.

Looks like a Kyffhauserbund ribbon. This would have been superseded by the Hindy.

      I should've spotted that.

      You got it in one.
I imagine one was updated, but not the other (if an original pair).

      All is good then.

      Cheers Don.

      Jamie.

Thanks mate, I reckon it will look pretty good in hand too.

It's nice to be back buying some medals again, I've bought a few things in the last month, but I've mainly been buying trench-art and other oddities (like this table cloth)--- I gotta quit it but I can't help myself. I fritter away too much cash. The way things are going I'll never buy a 1916 helmet.

I've got to learn to remain focused, mind you my collection is becoming fairly eclectic.

          Cheers,

          Jamie

Curious as to why they put double ribbons of each award on the ribbon bar?

That is not double ribbons. The ribbons are furled in the South German style.

Ok I see what you mean now, instead of the normal diagonal overlap or single plain wrap

Jamie, that table cloth there would have been some hours of needle work in making it.

Cheers for sharing it, I really like seeing these 'home front' patriotic items.

                    Thanks mate,

Some of these items are so unique I struggle to let them pass. As much I as I'd love to grow my collection in some clear linear form, I find my self distracted. However, I do think in time my distraction will have its own rewards.

                    Cheers.
