If the badge turns out to be a real one be carefull of the catch as it appears to look as if it is going to break off. I would not attempt to straighten it up

It is not a Luftwaffe badge. It is a Prussian Imperial Observer badge.

I think it has a good chance of being real. The enamel looks good, construction looks period as well.
