General's Boards?

Hi Guys

This pair of boards just came in and I am stumped at the minute- they appear to be Imperial era and are well used and tarnished. The cords do not look typically German but are they perhaps Ottoman or maybe British??? I can't find a pair that match at all.

Any thoughts much appreciated

They are not German general's boards and they may not even be German. If they are German, I would suggest something like an government official or something along that line. They are not imperial era German military boards.
