Found another nice one today ! has a reason been found why the brass colour ? I dont think its a worn silver one as there is no trace of any silver plating at all?

Hello Richard, thank you for sharing those here, much appreciated. I think your new one is heavily repaired and that causes the difference in the tone of the various parts and I also notice the residue of glue or whatsoever around the plates on the obverse. I believe even they are repaired or re-attached, all the parts are originals. The brass half-moon is also off center towards right and upwards.
I am not sure about the ribbon also, but lets keep that open to discussion. You can compare them with the various ribbon on my home thread of Turkish War Medals linked below.

I think the residue is dirt / gunge looking under an eye glass. I agree that the half moon is slightly off line, but if it has been repaired that was a long time ago as there is no evidence of any tampering. The enamel is good with only a few stress lines in the top star arm.

Hello Richard,
I also think that the repair was done a long time ago and also with original pieces. I have some repaired and damaged stars in my collection and I love them more than the mint ones because of the genuine aging they carry.
Do you have the reverse of the good contain BB you have?
