Help!!! To find the persons behind an engraving

    Hello collectors

I need your most welcome help to identify 2 officer (I think they must have been officers) behind a gravure found on a very unique lionhead sword.

Meissner s/l Lemke (so it´s a present from Meissner to Lemke)

I only know this two names and...............

as you can see, all is placed on this wonderful imperial WK&C lionhead sword (probably an Interims Kavallerie Extra Offiziersäbel).

The swords scabbard shows features you only find on civil servants/public officers variation, same is for the silver fittings and hangers.

So it maybe is for Police officers / Schutzmannschaft

Is there any chance to find Meissner or Lemke in a Rangliste??

    Many thanks in advance!

It would take come work and the names are rather common. Without a first name or unit it may not be possible.

Paul, that´s true, but without a start I wouldn´t have ANY chance for a finish

Some month ago I found an interesting online-source, some kind of university related book download..................
          however, I can´t remember my key-words for the Google search (and I hadn´t saved the www.-link ).

Here is the only thing I have from this source

Maybe someone is able to tell me, what kind of list is this from (it´s not a DAO isn´t it?).
