I was at the Cleveland Grays military show this weekend!

And saw this honey of a flag! Bavaria I believe!

Craftmanship is something else!

Hand embroidered bullion work to the wappen is spectacular!

Phil Boechert one of the local dealers and collector was willing to share
with collectors this beauty and a Teno in flag section!

PVON:
Imperial Lion supporter arms veterans flag is indeed quite
beautiful. However, my own collecting preference has always
been focused on the rarer army truppenfahnen, fragments too.

But I don't think many could afford those treasures!

I am not sure many could even protect such items for display!

I would like to know how one would even display and protect!

Do many folks enclose or frame these flags?

Now the one I took pics of was a very affordable I believe for most collectors! I believe $1,200.00 or so!


I would quess the stuff you showed might require a tad more!

But I understand your point!

PVON:
There are a number of threads on the WAF about
framing embroidered flags, which often is must to
support the silk from the weight of the embroidery.
Years ago Imperial German veterans flags were $500,
but as you already cited double or more these days.
I always resisted buying veterans flags myself, as
there was always other military unit flags of more
interest to me, including worldwide all periods too.
