    Strange hungarian commemorative medal

    Has anyone seen this before?

A hungarian non combat commemorative medal without swords but with the helmet? I have 0 experience with these medals but I can find any info about this "third" version.

Medal is from this thread: http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...d.php?t=737572

Hi Peter, I have a book on Hungarian medals and orders that I purchased in Budapest a few years ago. I can't read Hungarian but there is a small write up on the non-combatant medal which reads:

    Magyar Háborús Emlékérem

Jelvény: mint az elõzõ, de az elõoldali kardok és a hátoldali sisak nékül.

Fémjel a hátoldalon, a koszorú alatt.

    Fémjel nélkül.

I tried to translate this narrative using online tools but with little success. Perhaps someone from Hungary or who speaks Hungarian can help out.

    Regards

    Carl C

      Hi Carl
From the online translation it seems to describe the normal non combat version without both swords and helmet.

Still... No one seen one of these before?
