Two Opened Wound Badge in Silver -good or bad?

    Hi,

I hope I strated this thread on the right part of the forum, I read that they were generally for Freikorps and Einwohnerwehren. Do you think by the look of them that they are ok, or not?

Pictures of badge one are in the attachment.

Many thanks in advance and also many thanks for your time and effort,

    Maarten

I don't care for the second one, but I like the first one. I have a similar one and I can't tell if it's a BWB or a SWB, the finish is sort of a graphite color.

I'm pretty sure they are both good. The reverse hardware on the 2d badge looks like the same as can be found on the hollow uboot badge from the 20-30s.

I would have them both in my collection.
The second one's catch is very different but the style of the badge makes
            me like it.
You may have better luck on the imperial forum but lots of us switch back and forth between the two forums.

              Thanks

              Hi Sb98, Don and John;

Thank you very much for your replies and remarks.
I bought the BWB or SWB badge (nr. 1) 5 years ago in my starting days of collecting.
As I was not a member of the forum at the time, I bought it on feeling.
With replicas starting to become better and better, the badge caused me feverish feelings.
Last week I eventually decided to stand up and post it for opinions and remarks.
I'm also glad the second badge is ok.

Once again thank you all for your help.
I hope our paths will cross again in the near future,

              Maarten
