help with a couple of pins

These are part of the memorabilia that I pick up recently. The Cuxhaven I can not find any information on. The 25 year pin I found a single reference in an ebay auction.

Any one know about theses? Approximate value?

    Thanks for any information.

Does anyone have any comments on these?

    Wrong sub forum?

      Hi Steve,
      wrong sub-forum, its before 1933.

Cuxhaven, a city in the north of Germany with harbour. So might be a brouch to remember a holiday.

25 years loyalty to a club, maybe a veterans organisation.

The last one is Prussia Rememberance badge for fire brigade 1926 - 1933

It's hard to know the best sub-forum for maximizing your replies, but since the Cuxhaven pin shows the Imperial war flag I'll move the thread to the Imperial section for comment.

        Best regards,

Thanks everyone and mods for moving to proper forum

The Cuxhaven pin looks like a life preserver from a ship with the "rope" threads. I know there were a few air raids there in WWI. I hoped this was a type of survivor award or something. Was a guess on my part.

Thanks for the comments and the links .

I don't think Cuxhaven pin was "award" of any kind. I'd say it was a souvenir pin sold to conscripts serving in Cuxhaven, or some navy veteran group. But it's a very nicely made, three-dimensional, with great enammel and metal rope. Really neat pin!
