Single mounted EK2 with sand cast core

This one just arrived in yesterday's mail. Not sure of the maker of the cross but my best guess would be an S-W. What do you guys think?

It's getting harder to find nice single mounted pieces like this one. I'd welcome your comments. Thanks.

    Best, Alex

        That's a great one

A few of the later, very well-known stamped core designs (like the "Godet" core, the Slant-W core, etc) are also known as earlier cast-iron cores. This is one of those. The same design was later translated into a sheet-steel stamping die.
        Best regards,

Thanks Bernie. I know you are particularly interested in single parade mounted EK2s.

Thanks Kay. I really like the look of cast-iron cores as well.

              Thanks for your observations, Trev.

Btw, since cast-iron cores were produced early in the war, is it safe to assume that this parade mounted example was assembled early in the war as well?
