Some thoughts on EK 1 with 'hooks'.

Hello all,

I have seen this kind of hooks on EK1's from 1870, if I'm correct.

Some thoughts on this Ek1 from WWI?
i'm a novice in this collection field, so if you guys could tell me something about the maker and the rarity, that would be highly appreciated

I am not sure who the maker is but it is a known variation (less the hooks)
This is the first one by this maker that I can remember seeing with hooks,

All that being said, I like this cross. The hooks look right and the patina
looks right. I would have no problems at all adding this cross to my own
collection.

The side hooks are closely associated with 1870 Wagners and Godets
but did carry over into the ww1 crosses. Typically they can be seen on
1914 Godet made crosses like the one below.

That combination of core and pin seems odd to me. The core is the slant core but the pin is more that that found on the square punch marked type?
