Thanks for your input, Trevor and Kay. Sounds like I've got a lot to learn about medal bar makers.

the bar is not from godet - because godet used trevor`s shown needle system.

i have 2 of them. (normal style and frack mounting)

I've only ever seen that = type of pin system on godet bars. Has anyone ever actually seen a bar with a godet label that had a 'normal' style pin? That would be interesting to see.

              haha... nix da trevor !

i like them to much... i only saw one with the metal marker shield in over 10 years of collecting and it was mine.
i bought it from theodor walpurgius. (RIP theo)

              here the unmarked frack one.

here we have the green back wool (rückenabdeckung) note the typical cutted edges.

still looking for a godet non combatant one. i should phone karlsruhe to get his bar

I find it a little ironic that less than a week after starting this thread, I actually found a single non-combat for sale. However, as I've recently learned, you don't have any assurance that the medal and ribbon are authentic to each other.

You know that you're getting an authentic EK2 medal and an authentic non-combat EK2 ribbon but that about it.

Again, thanks for all the replies on this thread.

non combat ribbons are all over the place ,,,you want one,,, you get one,, easy .

single mount ,,bars ,,single ek ,,you name it ,,its easy .

                      beside the period examples ,,,
the only 2 explanation I know of,, are,,
a lot of repro and fake is on the marked .
                      a lot of left overs from the 1914/18 ,1920, 1930, 1940, 1957 found a handy helping hand.

but such thoughts are to threatening to be taken in account,,

and hard to proof for sure ..

                      regards kay
