Imperial medal bars with Turkish orders

    Dear Imperialoids,

I couldn't resist to buy this simple but yet very intesting medal bar with its "Miniaturkettchen":

    1) EK 1914, 2. Klasse
    2) Ehrenkreuz f. Frontkämpfer, mm G & S (Godet & Sohn)
    3) WH-DA 25 J.
    4) WH-DA 8 J.
    5) Osmanisches Reich (Turkey), Liakat-Medaille mit Schwertern

Interesting is also to notice the "paper" taylor's label on the back, still mint and in unworn conditions: J.C. Gante Jun., Abzeichen Fahnen Orden Dekorationen, Berlin S.W. 19, Dresdnerstr. 71.

    Ciao,

    Claudio

      Miniaturkette!

      Here the Miniaturkette:

      - EK 1914, 2. Kl.

      - Türkisches Halbmond (Turkish Half moon), not worn on the medal bar, as was very likely worn as "Steckdekoration" on the pocket.
      - Liakat-Medaille mit Schwertern (rare to see such miniature!)
      - Prussian Long Service cross (XV, 15 years), DA 2. Modell 1913-1920, 1. Klasse für den Soldatenstand (for EM and NCOs) nach 15 Jahre, Kreuz. The wearer of this Kette received it before getting later the Wehrmacht's long service awards for 25 and 8 years.

      Ciao,

      Claudio

        Christian,

Trust me it was already quite expensive when I bought it from Niemann... Fortunately he didn't sell it right away, because I was pondering about 10-14 minutes if I should get it for that price...

        Ciao,

        Claudio

Another nice medal bar with a Turkish Liakat medal! I think this bar is a home-made because is not so professionally put together like the one shown before. Furthermore the guy who put it together was being a bit naughty... notice the unofficial Fladernkreuz with the Ehrenkreuz f. Frontkämpfer. Nevertheless an impeccable bar, IMHO.

          Ciao,

The Ebay-seller told me that this bar belonged to a doctor. Sadly the Seller had forgotten the name of the wearer, which was communicated by the previous family's owner... too bad, because now it's pratically impossible to find it out! Aaaargghhhhhhhhh!!!! The seller said that he doesn't make notes of such details, because he sells so many articles on the net.

Still a nice a bar, IMHO.

It's useless to say that I love German Imperial medal bars with foreign awards... especially Turkish (Like Ricky....).

I'm still looking for one with an Italian or Japanese order!!!

              Here my last "Turkish" bar!

Could the moderator of this forum move this thread to Imperial

What a bone-head I am... I didn't notice that I was posting in the wrong forum.

Dear Frank or Lorenzo... Could you move it to the Imperial forum? I am sorry for the incovenience!

                Thanks!

                Ciao,

                  Dear Claudio,

There are Third Reich awards on these bars too, so you can leave it well here, if you want. Just tell me if I should move it anyway.
                  Cheers, Frank

I will purchase them all, but since you did not give me the option of paying a price for them, I'll take them off your hands for free, I'll even cover the shipping. On a more serious note, these are awesome and I would love to see more if you have them, or perhaps just some more medal bars, as I can never get enough of them!
                    Thanks for sharing!

Sorry Guys! I really beg you all pardon for posting these medal bars in the wrong forum...

@Frank: yes, please if you could move this thread to the imperial forum. So this thread can be viewed and filed on that forum, just in case Imperial collectors might want to search for such bars as reference...

                      @Rolf: thanks! It's my pleasure...

                      Ciao,

                      Claudio

@Frank: I meant not in the E-stand, but in the "normal" Imperial Forum... these bars are not for sale.
