    Austro-Hungarian Field Pilot's Badge

    Hello,

    I have seen from time to time the award of the Austro-Hungarian Field Pilot's Badge to non-Austro-Hungarians during WWI. Were these pilots expected to pass the same rigid course to obtain this badge, or was it an honorary award?
