Help with identifying medal

Hi guys, I have the opportunity for a few medals and badges which include this medal. It looks like a Turkish star but I have never seen one before. I am trying the Imperial section first after an experienced collector thought it may be from that time period
Any information would be most helpful.

I'd say so-called karnevalsorden (mock medal for some mardi-gras like festival). It can be from imperial period.
