    Recently picked up a small collection of ribbon bars and buttonholes and am working my way through them trying to id all the ribbons.
    Have been using this site as reference:
    http://www.worldmedals.co.uk/Rib/germrib.htm
    but there are a few I cannot id.
    Here are the first couple. any help would be very much appreciated
    thanks in advance

    First is a Schwarzburg Ehrenkreuz/medaille and seccond i think is just a patriotic ribbon in Weimar colors, possibly for a unofficial WW1-medal.

      It could also be the Schwarzburg Silver Merit Medal since the ribbon has no sword device.

        It is 99% the medal rather than the Ehrenkreuz or the order, due to both numbers awarded and that both of the latter would most likely have other awards such as long service or an ek

          Thanks

          Many thanks for the help.
          Here are the next and last ones I need help with.

          On the four place I know the Iron Cross and believe the third ribbon is possibly the Lubeck cross but I cannot id the 2nd and 4th ribbons.

          On the button hole I cannot ID the blue and white ribbon at the back.

          Is the sigle place bar for the Bulgarian WW1 1915-1918 Medal?

          Regards

              The 4 place :
              * Ek
              * Hessen (Kriegs Ehrenzeichen?)
              * Lübeck
              * Hessen bravery medal

              Button hole:
              Lippe-Schaumburg (treue Dienste, kämpferband)

              Singel:
              Turkey (Liakat Medal or Order of the Medjidie)

              Thats how i see it.

              /peter

                The ribbon bar could also be the Bavarian Luitpold medaille (either the 1905 or 1911 version).

                The second ribbon on the medal bar looks like that for the Turkish War Medal (Gallipoli Star). Although strange, I do not think it would be impossible for a hard core prussian to treat even the other german states as foreign ones like Turkey, and thus mount them behind the turkish award. I have for sure seen a medal bar in the order of Bayern MVO, Gallipoli Star and an EK in last place.

                  I also thought about the second being turkish but like you said the order would be wrong, and besides that, there is also another hesse ribbon on the bar. So that sealed the deal for me.
