Thanks for the nice words.

I was looking for the one with remnants of the green color.

As many, at first I thought it's verdigris so I was looking for a nice, clean one (which are all cleaned, I am pretty sure), but when I realized the green color is not verdigris-attacked but closer to original piece, I changed my mind.

I have a photo of the sailor (unfortunately not with this badge :-( ), and his name.
The lady (that's her grandfather) knows nothing more, unfortunately, nor have any other item.
