    EK II 1914 - can anyone determine a maker?

    Good day, gentlemen

    Could add this IMO very nice looking EK II to my humble collection. Unfortunately the maker mark is unreadable

    Can anyone of the experts here identify the maker of the EK ?

    IMO the cross is genuine, but from pictures not enough for ID .The makers mark looks to be over stamped. If the price is right I would buy it then figure out who made it. But that's me ,I horde 1914 EK2's and really like odd/miss-marked crosses.

      It's a really good looking original cross. A nice piece of history.
      I would buy it just because of that. Sometimes I think we get a
      little be too hung up on "makers".

          i bought it a few days ago, for 30€ i couldn´t make anything wrong

          I only asked as sometimes the frames or cores can clearly be attributed to a maker.
          So this one seems to have the standard core and frame. Nevertheless i like that one very much as it looks really great in hand and display.

            I have taken another look through my collection and have a possible match to the "M" marked crosses I possess. Best I can do without the cross in hand, would suggest taking a look at the reference thread at the top of the page and compare with the "M" marked crosses and also the "IVI" .

            But as mentioned before "who cares who made it as long as it's original" glad you decided to buy it as it is a nice piece and you got it for a very fair price .
