    Portrait Picture Question

    Hi
I have this standard portrait picture but with a twist. It is printed on a postcard from Australia.
There is probably a simple answer but can anyone tell me how this could be
    many thanks

An Australian obtained the negative and had the photo printed back home (is my guess).

      Australia—Rose Stereograph Company
The founder of this company traveled around the world taking pictures.
Rose produced 56 stereoviews showing World War I subjects; they bear image numbers 12,904-12,959.
Frequently, Postcard/Stereoviews Companies sold the right of their pictures to another company to be published under their own logo. Companies as Keystone, Rose Stereograph. Co and german ones like Neue Photographische Gesellschaft (NPG) and Feldstereo-Verlag (HEGI).
"George Rose: Stereograph Photographer and Publisher 1861-1942," Stereo World, March-April 1978, Vol. 5, No. 1, National Stereoscopic Association.
