    Very large EK 1914

Although I really have no knowledge of exactly what this is, or where it was used, I assume that it could have been used as a sort of advertisement for a place that sold medals. It could also have been used in many other ways as some time of "patriotic decoration", or etc.. Due to the stroke I had in 2009, I can no longer remember where I got it; however, the more likely place was the Frankfurt Flohmarkt along the Main in the section where the Eisenersteig is (if it is still there). I have added a EK II to give an idea of the size.

Do any of you know what purpose it had? I don't remember if I posted it before, or how I might have listed it if I did.

    Thanks,
    Ron

    Interesting piece .
The ring seams to be to hang it on a wall .... display or Veterans Hall or some place else .

The ultra ultra ultra rare grand cross of the grand cross of the grand cross of the Iron filing 1st class. Yet another wonder cross of the Goring collection.

On a serious note, a very interesting period piece.

Klaus Butschek previously posted a similar item (TR era) and Dietrich posted this period image of one as a display in a shop, so it's my guess that your cross would have been used for the same purpose.
