    Help ekii non-combatant

Friends, I would like everyone's help on this EKII and ribbon allegedly noncombatant and also marking their "G", this can be attributed to Godet?

    Obs: Only this photo.

    Tks.

Very nice Godet EK2. Always desirable pieces. For the ribbon, i'm not an expert but looks good to me.

I watched some discussions and I see that it is very difficult to identify the ribbon of this medal, but the amount of 65 euros, would be appropriate for a Godet?

        Tks.

65euro is the going rate on a lot of dealers sites for a standard ek2 so that seems like a bargain..

65€ is a good price for a Godet EK2 on non combattant ribbon

As said above without being on a medal bar or single mounted cross it is hard to tell when the original ribbon was married to the cross.

                      just a opinion,,

I would pass on this ribbon and would ask the dealer to give me a worn combatant ribbon instead ..... and,,,,,,, go down in price .

not a penny more fore the non combatant ribbon shown here ,,,,,

                      but hey,,,,,,
around here ,,,,they like mint non combatant ribbons
it makes it more plausible they are period .

                      .

                      regards kay

so why it should not be period?

It looks minty yes, I personally prefer when they are a little more yellowish.
But I think this ribbon is original from a new old stock. Heck, I even made an offer for it...

100 years man ,,,looking like mint ?
after lying around on a dusty cellar ,,handled throe a dozen collector hands ,,survived WW2,,obviously no UV influence,,and what not more ??

well not what I would expect or look for ,,,or think is plausible at all

on a bar ? ,,,with ware signs equal to the ware of the medals hanging on it ,,, its believable. ( seen some good )

                            some stock find ?
Plausible ,but in such cases a ek/ribbon marriage for 100 % ( not good )
and most likely coming out of the 1939 era.

seen 2 good separate non-combatants ribbon in 5 years

all 2 worn and yellowed .( structured completely different )

                            most important
those pup up here ,,all mint looking like coming out of the washing machine yesterday..no man .....no

research it ,i bet they are coming all from the same dealer direction ..

but hey ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, just an opinion .
the mint plausibility is coming out of the 1939 collecting era ,,,a hype that has being reflected in to imperial without making any difference between the two era's.

financial reasons obviously ,,,,and a digital sub collector scene ready for it .

ah ok then the half of all medal bars are for you not period,
so many have mint looking ribbons, but ok some collectors
                              are very critical

                              how many you bet?
