    Another Collecting Atrocity!

This was forwarded on to me by one of the last living subscribers of The Pay TV Of Collecting.

Here we have a 1914-1934 Bavarian two medal bar, M1914 frontline bravery Military Merit Cross/Order ribbon, Prussian Iron Cross 2nd Class combatant ribbon, used as the preposterous base for a M1913 Military Merit Cross 3rd Class with Swords, 1918-20 zinc model (so far so good) and then--

surprise, surprise, surprise, an 1870 EK2! Even BETTER, the latter has been thoughtfully "enhanced" with an 1895 25th anniversary oakleaves device-- making this bar BOTH

    1) a supernaturally prescient 1895 bar (19 years ahead of the first ribbon, 23 years ahead of the 1st award), AND

    2) an "1895" bar with "double" supposed "1870" awards-- and NO 1870 War Medal!!!!

This, of course, is the sort of World Renowned "expertise" that one has long come to associate with this particular firm, after their decades of scholarly experience with German militaria.

Excellent job of mangling original items! Perhaps the Lucky Eventual Buyer can salvage something at the selling price for... parts! moremad

Our agent informs me that the Special Price for this Jewel is minimum bid of $490-- with the usual 30% fees and thumbs, figure $640-ish final price. Is that appropriate for an EK 2 with loose (hopefully unbroken when removed) oakleaves device?...

        Yes it's garbage...

...but someone will eventually buy it!

They will think that they have copped a treasure, when in reality not

Someone with more money than brains. Someone who should come to this website first
