    Ek1

Gentlemen I hope I have placed this in the correct place.
I have had this many many years ....
Its a very nice quality EK1 cross as you can see ...
It's slightly concave from the middle out-wards and shows some very fine crisp details. It's also magnetic too.
The back is a very shiny silver (pin too 800) which never seems to darken as is the same for the edging around the cross.
Some have said this is a jewelers piece I don't know as this is not my area collecting. Therefore what's your opinion in it .... ?
    Thank you and regards
    David

Nice, high quality private purchase cross, in my opinion rather eary for those, probably from the award era (up to 1924) and maybe even from WW1 days.

Really not to be compared with some of the low quality, crappy 1930s crosses.

I agree, a nice high quality earlier (WW1-20s) private purchase (some call that a jewellers piece) EK1 with a generic Slant W core and non-maker specific hardware (although the wide non-tapering pin narrows possibilities down a bit - Fr, FR, We, etc).

No problems with this nicely worn example!
