          At a first sight, it looked to me like the old mark of Souval, Vienna, as visible on the Imperial Austrian Militärverdienstkreuze I Klasse... I see a certain difference between the picture of the actual mark and the Fließer's one as printed on the book.

          I should check this, on one of my pieces.

                          The mark of Souval struck on the Austrian MVK I Klasse looks quite close to the mark on your "Schützenpreis", but it's not the same one. Sorry for not having been of help.

                          By the way, congratulations for the very fine, black enamelled EK-II...
