99,9% of all EK II 1914 awarded to Austrians were given to officers.
In this case together with military-merit-cross IIIrd class with war decorations and swords, medal for military merit in silver with swords (2x), medal for military merit in bronze with swords and "Kaiser-Karl-Truppenkreuz".

THIS one You haven't seen here, because I never posted it so far. But You are right, there is NOTHING unusual. I just wanted to show it because of the rather nice ribbon and because there are collectors who like especially these Austrian trifolds.

You know, I just thought one hole for one hook is enough...

Secondly, somewhere I read that wartime trifold must have the hook and eyelet from grey material (iron, I suppose). According to that info every golden gilt pieces are postwar, but I´m ready to learn something new.

You are showing a "standard" ribbon. Mine is tailor-made silk one in an "old"-style like this one ("Kirchenstaatmedaille 1849").

The EK's for Austrians usually were given with the normal long Prussian ribbon. Austrian awardees had to get trifolds on their own or wore it with the long ribbon from the buttonhole.
My ribbon is of best quality, but nobody will be able to say, when this man bought it. They were available after WWI too.

Trifold ribbons were usually single mounts, just stuck together on the uniform.
