      I'm no expert on these, but it looks cast from reverse, and very poor enammelwork... I don't like it.

        This is called "Luftfahrer-Abzeichen" and it's not an original one, IMO.

          Pretty hard to be definitive given that this appears to be a MINI version but even so, the enamel work does not look great. The hardware does look OK though. More negatives than positives in my mind but I am definitely not that familiar with early Austrian flight badges.

              Knowing the exact size of the piece, would be of great help: as Mike Kenny noted, this should be a miniature version of this badge...

                  I am no expert on these, but if this is a miniature version, it looks a lot more promising to me than the ones I normaly see. IMO it has a good chance of beeing OK.
