It's strange the combatent band in "female version" but I think this last is original.

Unfortunally the seller tell this is silver made cross and ask a price over the € 100,- and that not push me to acquire this item.

Ribbon bows were worn by men, too, e. g. to civil clothes.

Unlikely a widow wore it as jewelry... and even less likely it was worn by one of the very few women that got it in 1914/15.

Regarding the information it were silver, I'd doubt it. The ones I've seen by know of this type were silvered brass...
