    An Ek2 that's been converted into a Ek1.

I like it Everything shows go age and patina. I have
no doubts it was done back in the day.

      its legitimate ek2 1914...

only ,,the reworking in to a ek1 went wrong ..( not so legitimate )

the 1914 should be on the front.

      just a little detail .

Possibly done for the same reason we see Ek2s having been
        mounted backwards on medal bars??????

wearing a ek2 1813 backside to the front as the tradition made it legitimate 1813/14
is a different thing as wearing a ek1 1914 with 1813 on the front .

technically speaking it could be seen as a ek1 1813 the man did not get rewarded with .
I think no soldier or officer would risk such bending military law and regulations .

but hey ,,,,,,who knows all is possible .

fore me its home made ...

Sure it's home made. Actually probably "field" made. A field made
upgrade done by someone who had not yet received his awarded
            Ek1.

            Here is another--

I had more faith in this one, which was also on ebay today and went for 38,50 instead of the thread starter which went for 57,99 euro...

              Best regards,
              Michel
