    I've been tempted to buy it... I like the front side, but the back side...mmmm.... I don't like

      Dear Pierce, I think the doubt born for strange "zig zag" on green coverture; for sure hand made but him does know if made during WWI period.

      Personal opinion this strange hand made work don't disturb me so much, on spange the differences are made from the medals if good or not.

            The zig-zag is made from pinking shears, a common tool for tailors. It keeps the fabic from fraying.

              Sorry Don,
              For me not made from pinking shears, they have a regular teeth and the irregular were used for border photos.
              Probably made with the tip of the scissors directly on factory or Military shop.
