      Hello Nightstalker,
hard to say from this pictures, is a risk.

IMHO, and repeat IMHO, for the fold on band appear good, the synthetic bands don't make many folds, the band remains rigid.

If the price at your unquestionable opinion is good you could buy it, otherwise pass.....for another "Nichtkampfer Band EKII" not are so rare.

      Regards

I dont like it, from what I can see it looks bad. The white background dosent exactly help.
And in my opinion these ribbons are a quite rare, I dont know there there is a ribbon for sale right now, and I havent seen one in quite a while.

A new pic with darker background and fucus on the ribbon would help.

        /peter

To comparison and maybe help, look my Nichtkampferband in cotton handmade folded on "Austrian ribbon" type over white background.

It appears so soft band and follow any "up and down".

              nice one!

imo the most period ribbons have a darker white not this typical new snow white. as i said i only would buy a bar with it.

I don't think i'm gonna buy the one i posted.
The white on the ribbon looks to white to be old
I don't like buying items when i doubt off originality.
Thanx for the help guys, usefull info!!!

I agree. The safest way to proceed with a non-combatant ribbon is to buy one on a bar. And imo if the ribbon is darker than snow white chances are that it's a war-time period piece. But I'd still welcome any other opinions on this. In the meantime here's my example.

                  Best, Alex

Now that's what I'm talkin bout........I like this one the best...just yellow from age and mothed a little or worn on the black thread part of the bands...nice one EK hunter. Gew 33 Yours gets honorable mention, but which type of ribbon is the rarest of the two types shown here? Cotton? I guess any original type is good , but which material used for ribbons like this are less often encountered .

Now thats a nice single medal bar.

                      i have two of them..

I will post one of mine non combattant medal bars later.

You have seen, i am selling some nice stuff of my collection - the reason is, that i wanted to buy a large non comb. medal bar from a friend... but don`t tell it to my wife. she always says: if you gonna die some day, i will put those crab
into the trash. (if she dies bevor me, i will do the same with her parfum flakons)

                        now here`s the pic.

                        enjoy it.

The Ko3 is a real golden one "W" (Wagner & Son, Berlin), The RAO4 is an mm "Wilm" (H.J. Wilm, Hofjuweliere, Berlin)

still looking for a non combattant bar ic + colonial medals.

                        best regards joe

After a new search the ribbon of mine is better to talk him "female version". The "Austrian trifold ribbon" is most small folded. Sorry for wrong name.
