    IC 1st Class

Somebody wanted to discuss this piece:

Imo. a nice Meybauer piece, 3 part magnetic like all Meybauer pieces.
Hallmarked 950 on the backplate + 925 on the needle (double hallmarked)

    Why a Meybauer?

    Coredesign,
I only recognize pieces with 950 from the Meybauer Factory
It is the version with the thin needle - they are rarer than the
"standard" Meybauer pieces with "thick" needle. I have had another
    a few years ago.

The round disc under the catch is imo. no reparing it looks like the wiedmann pieces. i don`t know if wiedmann made ic. 1st class (private purchased pieces)

your selling this cross on the E stand ,,
      http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...d.php?t=622299

      and on Ebay http://www.ebay.de/itm/Eisernes-Kreu...item2c687304b5.

      AT THE SAME TIME ?

ps ,a 1000 mark on a needle is not good ,,technically speaking a jeweler would never make such a choice .

the Hook would be seen by many as replacement ,,as well as the needle ..

ah the dutch 1813 specialist - did you sale your nice piece?

is it prohibited to sale at two different places?
        i think not. FAQ?

you did not read my post -

i wrote 950/1000 it means the silver content is 950 from possible 1000

and the needle is stamped 925/1000.... and not 1000/1000.

seems that you do not know much about the german silver laws bevor 1888
        and later...

        best regards.

About the cross, a genuine Meybauer with imo a definitely replaced catch. Meybauer did not use catchplates on their WW1 EK1s.

I can't comment on the 925 marking as I can not even see it.

              Regards

Would like to see close up pics of inner corners, core, catch and stamps but it sure looks like a Meybauer.

                    pics.

i don`t think its a repaired catch. i have seen many ic. and no piece had
this "round" disc with this dominant catch.

I like the pin a lot, stamp looks period. If the catch is repaired it's a top quality job at least.

as i said it`s a nice and rare meybauer.

i have never seen one with this double hallmark.

                        regards frm krautland jo.
